“Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.” -Proverbs 17:9
Forgiving someone is easily one of the hardest things to do. Our pride tells us to hold onto the grudge that burns deep inside. But we have to forgive each other just as God forgave us because not a single person can love until she or he accepts the forgiveness of the Creator. Love is based off of forgiveness; if we do not forgive each other we cannot love each other. When we bury the grudge deep down, it brings hatred and disgust in the relationship causing the relationship to slide further and further away.
Forgive because you were forgiven.
Forgive because we all need love.
Forgive to stay close to each other.
Forgive because it is the right thing to do.
