Masquerades

I wish you were real. I wish you’d stop throwing frivolous Masquerades out of fear. I wish you’d stop hiding your fragile beauty behind that opulent gown. I wish you’d stop drowning your wounds with bitter cocktails.

You coward.

Don’t you know scars shape you? Don’t you see that I have scars too? Don’t you know the dance floor was intended for two?

I just wish you would become you.
